Reticulation modelling is:

  • Predicting effects on water quality throughout the network

Palmerston North City Reticulation Study - Developed single zone model (1200 elements) of the city reticulation using WATNET and directed field investigation for calibration data.

Whangaparaoa Network Investigation - Developed network model using a computer spreadsheet and linear transform algorithms, to determine indicative capacity requirements for a reticulated supply to the Whangaparaoa peninsula.

Mt Roskill Pressure Zone Study - Investigated feasibility of re-configuring bulk supply points and of decommissioning old reservoirs, with new pressure zone layouts to improve service delivery and optimise operating costs.

Papatoetoe City Network Study - Advised on successful calibration of a model of the former Papatoetoe City area.

South Waikato Towns Models - Developed network models (EPANet) of Putaruru, Tokoroa and Tirau to investigate works required to improve service delivery, especially fire flows.

Model User Training - Provided training to client staff on the setup and running of EPANet software and the development of computer network models.

Waipapa Reservoir, Kerikeri - Investigation of network modifications required to enable a new reservoir to be commissioned and to overcome problems of low pressure and poor fire flows in parts of the reticulation.
